Marilyn is a retired teacher and has been a member of the CCRA Executive for 23 years in various capacities including, street rep for the York Condominium no. 72, canvasser for membership 2007++, secretary in 1999, treasurer in 1974/1975, crime prevention in 2004 and since 2008 has served as co‐chair of Metro Toronto Police’s 43 Division Community Police Liaison Committee (CPLC). Through these initiatives, she has improved community and police relationships and fostered communities where women and children can live free from violence.
Marilyn was recently awarded a 2016 Leading Women, Building Communities award from the Province of Ontario. Through her community service initiatives Marilyn has promoted women’s health and improved the lives of many.
