On Wednesday, May 20th, 2015, Sir Oliver Mowat C.I. is hosting its second annual Relay For Life.

Last year, we raised over $20,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society, and this year we hope to raise even more! The event runs from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on the track behind Mowat. The cost is $15 per participant. Each participant receives a T-shirt and a luminary bag to dedicate to someone they know who has battled cancer.

The Centennial community and Mowat students are encouraged to join forces and fundraise over $100. The day will include music, activities, games, food and lots of fun!

Relay for Life participants are encouraged to register or join a team of 10, with one person from each team walking the track for the duration of the entire event. You can register during lunch outside the Mowat cafeteria or online at our Relay For Life website at www.relayforlife.ca/mowat. Please register by Friday, May 15, 2015.

Everyone is welcome to come and participate in the relay, celebration and fundraising. We are also looking for donations and volunteers. Listed below are specifi c “wants” and needs”, but there are no donations too small. Remember that anything helps, so please come out with your friends and family to this great event and help raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Donation “Wants”: Items to raffl e off (ex. iPad, clothing, gift cards...etc), plain white t-shirts for our tye-dye event.
