So much to see and do at Earth Day event

By Kathy Rowe

I hope you will come out to our area Earth Day event on Saturday, April 20. There is much to see and do this year at two locations. Visit us anytime between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to take advantage of all we have arranged for our area residents.

Well Wishes to Zinta Erdmanis
Zinta Erdmanis joined the CCRA board back in September 2018. At that time we were in dire need of a new treasurer, and Zinta jumped in with both feet to fulfill the role. In September 2020, Zinta happily moved over to the role of advertising director, a field that she had worked in professionally before retiring. On behalf of the CCRA executive, I want to express my sincere appreciation to Zinta for her five plus years of hard work and dedication in both of these roles on the board. I wish Zinta all the best with her future endeavours. Jill MacMillan, who joined our board at our AGM in November, will take on the role of CCRA advertising director.

Campaign Clean Centennial round 4
This month our cleanup week will start on April 14 and conclude with the community cleanup being held on April 20 at the Earth Day event. Thank you to everyone putting in the effort to make our community beautiful!\

Summer Fun is Just Around the Corner
Please mark Saturday, June 15 and Saturday, June 22 on your calendars. On June 15 at Highland Creek Community Park, the Highland Creek Community Association will be hosting their annual Heritage Festival. The Port Union Waterfront Festival, to take place at the Port Union Village Commons, will make its annual return on June 22. Both festivals will have great attractions for all ages. More details will be available in our May and June editions.

Centennial Hoodies
Our warm and cozy hoodies will be for sale for $35 at our Earth Day event. Drop by the CCRA table in the main foyer to get them
