Thinking ahead to a new year of possibilities

By Kathy Rowe

The new year has begun and I hope that the resolutions you have made will be achievable. Whether you are pledging to eat healthier, get into better shape or to meet new people, being patient and committed is key. Personally, one of my goals for 2023 is to see more live theatre and live music. The fun stuff!

Community Carol Sing-a-long

On December 11, I had the pleasure of attending the Community Carol Sing-a-long at St. Dunstan of Canterbury Church. It was wonderful to gather to sing with the community again after such a long absence. Reverend Graham McCaffrey led the evening and, to my surprise, he has a beautiful singing voice! The choir did a great job and the community’s singers really enjoyed themselves. The CCRA was pleased to sponsor the refreshments after the event, which was well attended.

Winterfest 2023

The CCRA is a major sponsor for Winterfest 2023. The planning committee has been working hard to implement fun attractions that our community families will enjoy. You can read more about Winterfest here. We hope to see you on January 28.

Monthly Meetings

Please feel free to contact CCRA secretary Laurie MacIsaac at secretary@ccranews.com if you are interested in attending one of our monthly meetings. We meet on the first Tuesday evening of every month at the Port Union Community Centre. Residents are always welcome.
