So much fun for our 75th, and so many thank yous!
By Kathy Rowe
As I write this report, I am still on Cloud Nine following our exciting CCRA Community Challenge Game and 75th Anniversary party. Everything exceeded my expectations!
I want to thank all of those who volunteered their time to make this milestone event a success. In addition, I’d like to recognize our top sponsor, the Scarborough West Hill Breakfast Club. This club is comprised of 14 realtors, and together they provided the cash prizes for the first, second and third place teams. They also provided the funds for our special colour pull-out section in our October issue.
I also want to thank the many sponsors/businesses for the additional prizes they provided. Our three local politicians, MP Gary Anandasangaree, MPP Vijay Thanigasalam and Deputy Mayor Jennifer McKelvie, supported our event generously, and we are grateful for their contributions.
Each of them presented our board with beautiful certificates of congratulations, including ones signed by our Premier and our Prime Minister. Deputy Mayor Jennifer McKelvie presented the CCRA with a framed letter of proclamation from Mayor Olivia Chow who proclaimed October 19, 2024, as CCRA day! What an honour that was!
Pumpkin Parade
The annual Pumpkin Parade was scheduled to take place at the Port Union Recreation Centre park lands on Friday, November 1. Partnering with our friends from the Highland Creek Community Association, West Rouge Community Association and the West Rouge Sports and Recreation Association, we hope it was the best community Pumpkin Parade EVER!
Unfortunately, this paper is going to the printer later than usual and the parade will probably be over by the time you read this. Hope it was fun
November 2024 AGM
