2nd Highland Creek Scout Group

A huge thank you goes out to the Centennial community. The 2nd Highland Creek Scouting group collected 7,774 pounds of food in this year’s door-to-door food drive! This is an excellent result and 1,500 pounds more than last year. Over the past 14 years we have collected more than 55 tons of food. The food will be used to supplement the supplies in the food bank at a time when demand is very high and need is more keenly felt.

All of our sections from Beavers to Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers from 2nd Highland Creek, 11th Bendale and 7th Pickering contributed to this excellent result. We had 40 youth go door to door to 2,733 homes in the Centennial community, and they were supported by numerous parents, plus 27 Scouting volunteers, plus staff Ilene, Bob and Judith from Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities.

Thank you for all of your support
