Mark your calendars! Sir Oliver Mowat C.I.’s production of The Penelopiad is coming to the Mowat stage from December 7-9. The production is a stage adaptation of the novel by renowned author Margaret Atwood. Inspired by Homer’s epic poem, The Odyssey, The Penelopiad is told from the underworld by Penelope as she shares her version of the mythological events that cast her as the symbol of wifely devotion.
This production features 18 extremely talented young actresses, directed by former Mowat drama teacher Jan Kish, and produced by current drama teacher Robin Andrews Morton. Tickets can be purchased through the school: $12 in advance for students and seniors, $15 at the door. Adult tickets are $17 in advance and $20 at the door. General admission tickets can also be purchased for $20 at Brownpapertickets.ca.
