We have all been dreading this winter, not just because of the cold temperatures but because COVID is still out there. And so, our doors are closed — to friends, to family, to neighbours, to co-workers.
But it’s not all doom and gloom. Through their beautifully decorated doors, Centennial residents have established a connection with the outside world. The home entries are colourful, hopeful, a reflection of the occupants isolated within. The doors are all different, too, just like the people who make up our wonderful neighbourhood.
Doors, of course, are meant to be opened. But we are patient. We can wait. The world is on the brink of change and soon the marvel of vaccination will allow us to dip our toes back into life. And then the doors will open to the light again.
We thank the many Centennial residents who decorated their doors this season. We regret that we could not print all the doors we photographed.
