You’re invited to my first Christmas Social on December 7

As we approach December, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas! I look forward to seeing many of you at the local events our community enjoys each year as we come together to celebrate.

Expanding Home Care Services

I hear from so many families in Scarborough–Rouge Park about how important it is to get the right care at home. That’s why I’m proud that we’re investing $1.1 billion over the next three years to expand home care services and strengthen the Hospital to Home program. What this really means is that thousands more patients each year will be able to recover safely and comfortably at home.

This announcement builds on our 2024 initiative, which significantly reduced waitlists for personal support services. We are already seeing the impact, more consistent care for patients and a 94 percent reduction in waitlists.

By making it easier for people to transition out of hospital and continue their recovery at home, we are not just improving their experience, we are also easing pressure on our hospitals and freeing up beds.

Scarborough Business Association

Leadership Breakfast

It was great to join the Scarborough Business Association for their Leadership Breakfast and speak about our government’s plan to Protect Ontario.

We discussed how in the face of tariffs we are directing new investments to targeted programs that help affected sectors adapt, stay competitive, and expand into new markets. We are protecting entrepreneurship by giving the next generation of business leaders the resources and guidance they need to succeed. The reduction of the small business tax rate to 3.2 percent is just one example of the many steps we’ve taken to support small businesses.

We are supporting business leaders and investing in Scarborough to make our community a better place to live, work and go to school. I’m grateful for the continued engagement from our business community, and I look forward to building on this momentum in the months ahead.
