On Monday, September 29, we will vote for a new Ward 25 city councillor who will replace our former councillor Jennifer McKelvie. Residents are looking forward to finally having a councillor in place as this seat has been vacant for several weeks.
Area associations representing Centennial, West Hill, West Rouge and Highland Creek will be hosting two separate all candidate forums this month. Residents will have the opportunity to meet candidates and learn about their platforms.
Candidate Profiles

Other Ward 25 candidates that did not submit profiles:
Kevin Cheatley, Zia Choudhary, Jamil Kerr, Huy Lieu, Dianna Robinson, Shemar Shirley.
Two all candidate forums
The first forum will take place at the Port Union Community Recreation Centre on Saturday, September 13 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. This will be a drop-in meet and greet event. Residents can take their time speaking to the candidates about their platforms.
The second forum will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion in Highland Creek on Tuesday, September 16 from 7pm to 9pm. Candidates at this event will be able to speak briefly about their platforms, but there will be no debate. Following the speeches, attendees will have time to approach candidates to have one on one conversations. We hope residents will be able to attend these events.
