Increasing GO service on the weekends

I hope you and your families are doing well. As the weather gets warmer, I’m looking forward to connecting with residents and celebrating at local events and festivals throughout the summer.

Increasing Weekend GO Service

As of May 2, 15-minute weekend midday and evening service has returned to the Lakeshore East line.

With One Fare being extended, you still only pay once when transferring between the TTC, GO Transit, and participating regional systems, making it easier and more affordable to get where you need to go.

Our government is proud to be improving GO Transit service to make it faster and more convenient for families and commuters across the region. Whether you’re heading downtown from Rouge Hill for a concert, a game or a night out, getting there should be simple and reliable.

Congrats to All Graduates!

It is always a proud moment to celebrate the achievements of graduates who have worked tirelessly to reach this important milestone. Your dedication and commitment have brought you to this day, and you deserve to be recognized for all that you have accomplished. As you begin this new chapter of your journey as a student, know that your hard work has prepared you for a bright future ahead.

Congratulations to all graduates across our community this school year. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours.

New Primary Care

Medical Record System

I’m proud that our government is taking bold steps to strengthen Ontario’s healthcare system and make sure people get the care they need, when they need it.

A big part of this plan is a new provincewide Primary Care Medical Record system. This will connect patient records, reduce paperwork for doctors, and make care more convenient for patients. No more repeating your medical history, so doctors can spend more time focused on patients.

With a $3.4 billion investment in primary care, we’re working to ensure everyone has access to a family doctor by 2029. Already this year, 330,000 people are being connected to care.

This is about building a healthcare system that works for our families, close to home and for years to come. I’m excited to keep working to make that a reality for our community.

Faster Police Record Checks

We are taking action to reduce wait times for police record checks so people can access jobs, volunteer opportunities, and other important opportunities faster. By improving and speeding up the process, we are making it easier for individuals and families to move forward while continuing to protect vulnerable members of our communities.

This ongoing action provides efficient public services and keeps streets and communities safe across the province.
