All current and retired CCRA executive, newsletter distributors, membership canvassers and newspaper contributors are invited to a volunteer appreciation evening on Thursday, May 2.
The event will be held at the Port Union Recreation Centre from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the CCRA.
The CCRA was formed in 1949, shortly after the end of the Second World War. Over the years the organization has helped shape our community. Many people have volunteered their time, energy and expertise over the years to make this the awesome community we all call home.
All current and retired volunteers are being honoured. If you are a retired CCRA volunteer and would like to attend, please send an email to Wanda Wierzbicki at distribution@ccranews.com so we can add your name to the list.
Seventy years is a long time for a community organization to be active. Let’s celebrate! Come join your friends and neighbours for some conversation, cake and refreshments. All volunteers will be taking home a special appreciation gift.
We couldn’t have done it without you. Thanks for volunteering!
