Finally, spring has sprung! In Centennial, we celebrated with our Earth Day event on April 25 and many of you enjoyed the activities at Port Union Community Centre, brought items for recycling to West Rouge Community Centre, and helped to clean up the neighbourhood.

It’s time to extend our civic engagement even further by joining Centennial Community and Recreation Association (CCRA). Your membership acts as a vote to preserve and protect our beautiful community as CCRA advocates for it with politicians, policy and decision makers, and others who can affect us. The more members, the stronger our advocacy. Your membership matters!

The 2026 calendar year membership fee for each household remains at only $15, unchanged for the last 15 or so years. The fees help to pay for the production of CCRA News and for all the events hosted/sponsored by CCRA, as well as for donations made to worthy local causes. We want to remind you that we deliver Centennial News to all households in our area, so receiving the paper doesn’t mean you are a CCRA member.

CCRA volunteers work hard to nourish a strong sense of community and belonging. Please get your 2026 membership to join CCRA, one of the oldest continuously active community associations in the GTA, which is in its 77th year.

Special Request

We need Centennial residents to canvass in the community to get memberships. Neighbours asking neighbours to join CCRA is the best approach to build community. This truly is civic engagement – knocking on doors and saying hello to neighbours! Please contact Denise Bacon at membership@ccranews.com if you are interested in helping with growing CCRA membership. It’s easy and fun.
