Come out to the Port Union Community Centre to celebrate all things winter on Saturday, January 31! Our annual Port Union Winterfest will kick off at 11 a.m. with a variety of fun family activities.
Inside, there will be live entertainment, including music and dancers. Come and listen to the Memory Lane band and the Port United band, and watch the Hawaiian Dancers. You can also relax and listen to the songs of Shayne Ireland, Neil Bennett and Tyler Forkes.
Outside, we will have many interactive inflatable games for the kids. You’ll be able to enjoy an affordable barbecue lunch and make yourself s’mores by the fire. Beverages such as hot chocolate, apple cider, coffee, tea and cold drinks will be available. There will be vendors to visit as well.
This year we are excited to bring Toon Goons to Winterfest. Known as “Canada’s sketchiest caricature artists,” Toon Goons has a roster of highly skilled artists. Two of them will be at Winterfest from noon until 3 p.m. to draw a one-of-a-kind caricature of you and/or your family.
Caricature art is a playful exaggerated style of portraiture that captures a person’s unique features and personality. For just $5 you can have a Winterfest memory to take home with you.
The images you see here on the front page were drawn and designed by a Toon Goons artist. They also did my caricature. Check it out on page 3.
We hope to see you at the Port Union Winterfest 2026 at the end of this month!
