Wishing you all the best for a safe and happy holiday!

Merry Christmas, Centennial! I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays with loved ones, virtually or in person.

In order to keep our community as safe as possible this season, I encourage all who are eligible to get their third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. To check your eligibility or book your appointment, visit toronto.ca/home/covid-19/ or call the provincial vaccine booking line at 1-833-943-3900.

In addition to city-run clinics, residents can receive their COVID-19 vaccine through one of more than 450 pharmacies that are offering the vaccine, at many doctors’ offices and at other health-care partner clinics.

I look forward to connecting with you in the new year and wish you and your family all the best for a safe and happy holiday season!

Celebrating the Holidays

Ward 25 Holiday Homes

Once again this year, my office will be celebrating the homes in our community that are showing their holiday spirit with fantastic decorations and light displays. Nominate your favourite homes by emailing their addresses to councillor_mckelvie@toronto.ca by December 15. The community will vote on a shortlist and nominees will have a chance to win great prizes from local businesses. For the latest information, follow me on social media @McKelvieWard25.

Toronto Police Auxiliary Toy Drive

Our local 42 and 43 Divisions are once again accepting donations of new and unwrapped toys to ensure that all children in our community receive a gift at Christmas. Toys can be purchased online and shipped directly to the stations care of the Auxiliary Toy Drive at:

42 Division, 242 Milner Avenue, Toronto, M1S 5C4 or
43 Division, 4331 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto, M1E 2T4

Toys can also be dropped off in person. Each station has a donation box inside the front entrance. Donations will be accepted until December 14 at 12 noon.

Toronto Zoo Holiday Marketplace

For the second year, the Toronto Zoo is hosting a Holiday Marketplace, featuring approximately 90 vendors from the local community, with up to 18 vendors each weekend. The Marketplace, which runs until December 23, is a wonderful opportunity to support local small businesses, enjoy some great food and take a photo with the zoo’s 35-foot Christmas tree. Tickets are $5.50 plus HST per person or free with zoo admission. For times and tickets, visit: torontozoo.com/marketplace.
