CCRA celebrates our 75th year with a really big celebration. You could win $1,000!
There’s nothing like getting together in the same physical space to laugh, have fun and compete. The CCRA Community Challenge offers a unique opportunity to turn our neighbourhood streets and hidden corners into a thrilling playground alive with amazing people and stories If you like exploration, team collaboration, enjoy experiencing the urban environment, and would to support your community, this game is for you.
So Join us on October 18 & 19 for the CCRA Community Challenge. We’re turning Centennial/Port Union into a neighbourhood game board! Explore Centennial with an easy-to-use app that leads your team through fun challenges and tests your knowledge of our community.
It’s free to play! Choose a team of neighbours, family, friends, colleagues or teammates (3 – 6 people recommended), choose a captain and download the game app beginning October 16 and you’re ready to play.
The Game
When: October 18 & 10
How to play: One person per team (more if you wish) downloads the challenge based game app and joins your private game. The app is loaded with fun and features including: challenges, maps, live streams (showing you other teams in action), live leaderboard, rewards and more!
Prizes: The first place prize is $1,000, second $500 and third $250. Even if you don’t finish in the top 3, there is also multiple prize packages from local businesses.
Cash prize winners are determined by number of challenge checkpoints completed within a two hour period. Other prizes are judged on a combination of checkpoints completed, creativity of media challenges – photos and videos uploaded on the app and community spirit. The best of the media challenges will be shown at the CCRA 75th anniversary celebration.
