Welcome to 2024. Another fresh new year is here … so out with the old, in with the new! Cheers to the best community in Toronto.

Community Carol Sing

St. Dunstan of Canterbury Church hosted their annual carol sing on Sunday, December 10. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend this year, but our membership chair, Denise Bacon, was there to participate and greet community members on behalf of the CCRA.  The evening went well and the refreshments after the sing-a-long were well received.

Winterfest Perk for CCRA members

It’s hard to believe that Winterfest is celebrating 25 years this year. I personally have been involved with at least 20 Winterfest celebrations but the years have flown by. As in past years, CCRA is the major sponsor for this community event.

We are pleased to let families know that there will be many fun activities this year and  special giveaways will be featured throughout the day. We are excited to announce that 2024 CCRA members will be eligible to enter a draw for a beautiful and generous gift basket. Please visit our table for a chance to win it. See more Winterfest details on the front page.

CCRA Turns 75 this year

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the CCRA. As many of you may know, the association was established in 1949. Graphic artist Don Lawrence has created a special logo for our 75th and you will notice it on the front page of this issue and all subsequent issues throughout this special year.

Discussions have begun regarding how we will celebrate this anniversary, but we would love to hear ideas from you, our readers!  Please send your thoughts to
