Happy New Year Centennial!

I looked up the year 2026 and here is what I discovered.  According to the Chinese 2026 calendar, we are entering the year of the horse. In Chinese culture, the Horse is known for its energetic and dynamic nature. The horse symbolizes speed, vitality and perseverance. These are all positive qualities which Centennial can stand by throughout the year.

Community Carol Sing

St. Dunstan of Canterbury Church held their annual community carol sing-along on Sunday December 14th. I was pleased to attend and address the audience as I spoke about CCRA’s endeavours over 2025. Everyone enjoyed songs by the choir and readings by Reverend Graham McCaffrey. Refreshments were much appreciated and the CCRA was happy to provide the support for them once again this year.

Winterfest 2026

As noted on our front page, Winterfest will be happening on Saturday January 31 from 11 am to 3 pm at the Port Union Community Centre. Once again CCRA is proud to partner with Winterfest to make it the best event possible. Please visit our CCRA table where we will be selling memberships and hoodies. Purchase your 2026 CCRA membership and enter our draw for a family fun gift basket. Details are in my front page article. There is something for everyone at this event! We hope to see you there.
