The 2nd Highland Creek scouting group will be running a community recycling event at the Port Union Community Recreation Centre on Earth Day. This is the second year for our event and since last year was such a great success, we want to build on that momentum.

We will be holding the event on April 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  We will be accepting e-waste, scrap metal, batteries, clothing, pop cans, and returnable beer and alcohol containers. We will also take your broken or unwanted electronics, including TVs, VCRs, computers, monitors, printers, fax machines, stereos, wire, Christmas lights, appliances, car and disposable batteries, used clothing (clean), ties, luggage, shoes, fabric, yarn, bedding, blankets, linens, draperies, belts and purses.

As you can see from this exhaustive list, we have partnered with multiple organizations to be able to accept your donation at our event.  This will enable your local scouting group to provide a fully enriched scouting experience for our youth.
